Our terroir
Our terroir

Alsace features a patchwork of terroirs that lends itself to exceptional diversity in its wines. In our little village of Saint-Hippolyte, we are able to reap the benefits of a communal appellation that showcases the special features of our soils and, more specifically, one of our grape varieties. Our terroir is endowed with geological subtleties that imbue the Pinot Noir grown here with very specific aromas and a unique personality.

Our vineyard

Our vineyard of mainly granitic soil suffuses our vines with minerality, freshness and finesse. These marks of our terroir are subtly reflected in a distillation of its multiple fragrances. This singularity can be savoured when sipping on our Rieslings, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminers. To boost our wine’s complexity, our property includes blocks with different geological origins (clay/limestone in Rorschwihr and Bergheim) and located at higher elevations (on Kaysersberg’s plateau).
